How To Get There

Location: Next to Ban Pak Nam Tako, Pak Nam Tako sub-district, Thung Tako district.
Directions: Head south from Chumphon town along highway 41 for about 50km. At the Khao Peep Pak Nam Tako intersection (highways 41 and 4096)turn left towards Pak Nam Tako (highway 4096, an asphalt road) and follow the road another 10km to the Arunothai beach public gardens. Turn left for Arunotai beach, or right for Ban Pak Nam Tako.
This is one of the many beaches in Chumphon province, and is the most popular beach along the Sawee / Thung Tako / Lang Suan stretch of the Chumphon coastline.
The 6km white sand beach is ideal for swimming, and is bordered and shaded by pine trees and coconut palms.
Shrines Dedicated To Kromluang Chumphon Khet Udomsak
There are many shrines dedicted to Sadej Kromluang Chumphon Khet Udomsak throughout Thailand. The most important of these is the shrine at the end of Sairee beach near Chumphon.
At the southern extremity of the beach near Ban Pak Nam Tako there is a small shrine dedicated to Sadej Kromluang Chumphon Khet Udomsak.
In 1986 a large turtle died after crawling up onto the beach at this shrine. It is now on display here.
There is also a small park nearby where you can relax or exercise.
The fishermen's village of Ban Pak Nam Tako is well-known for it's fish sauce, which can be bought there. You can also charter a boat from here to visit the nearby islands such as Koh Phi Tak (in Lang Suan district), Koh Khram, Koh Roundbanthad and Koh Maprao (another island of the same name as the one in Muang district)
