How To Get To Our Shop
Location: on Thatapao Road in central Chumphon, close to both the railway station and town-centre bus connections.
Arriving By Train: We're just 5 minutes walk from the station, or you can take a motorcycle taxi for around 20 baht.
Arriving By Bus: Some private VIP buses and mini vans drop you at various locations in central Chumphon close to Thatapao Road - see larger map (click the map on the right) for drop-off points. However, most government buses only come as close as Chumphon's main bus station, several kilometres outside the town centre. You'll have to take a songtheow or motorbike taxi from there.
Arriving By Boat: Speedboat and catamaran tickets include transfer from the jetty to central Chumphon (usually stopping at the station and on Thatapao Rd, near our shop). Arriving by the night-boat or car-ferry you'll have to arrange your own transport (songtheow or motorbike taxi) from the boat jetty.

- The night market stretches along Kromluang Chumphon Rd. from the junction with Saladaeng, and there are many food stalls everywhere.

Transport
- There is NO bus terminal on Thataphao Rd, despite what certain guidebooks may say! The old bus terminal closed long ago (it's the shopping area just next to Easy Divers). Chumphon's main bus terminal is now about 8km from the town centre on highway 41 (also known as the Petchakasem Road, or Asia Highway) just south of the Pathomporn Junction (the main intersection between highways 4, 41 and 327).

- Chiumphon's railway station is in Chumphon town centre
- Chokanan Tour (Chokanum) - on a Soi off Prach Uthit Rd.
- Suwannatee Tour - south of the river on RotFai Rd.
- Ranong-Bangkok air-conditioned buses stop near the western end of Phoraminmakkha Rd.
- Minivan leave approximately every hour for Ranong from Thataphao Rd. opposite our shop. Come in and have a coffee with us while you wait!
- Minivans To Surat Thani leave from the western end of Kromluang Chumphon Rd. near the junction with Saladaeng
- Patcharaphon Tour - on Phoraminmakkha Rd. just east of the highway 327 junction
- Kiat Travel - on Thatapao Rd. about 50m north of our shop
- The Songserm Express office is near the southern end of Thatapao Rd.
Shopping
- If you're heading for Koh Tao, take the opportunity to stock up on essentials in Chumphon - it's far cheaper!
- Ocean Shopping Centre is located on Saladaeng Soi 6 near Kromluang Chumphon Rd.
- There's a bookshop with a small selection of English titles located between the Paradorn Inn and Jansom Chumphon hotels
- English language newspapers are available at a newsagents on Saladaeng, opposite Fame Tour.
- There are several 7-Eleven stores: there is one near the south end of Thatapao Rd (turn right along Phoraminmakkha Rd. towards the railway); one on Kromluang Chumphon (near Papa Seafood); one a short walk down Pracha Uthit Rd.
- Chumphon Municipal Market is at the southern end of Thataphao Rd.

- Chumphon local government has a new tourist information office near the railway station.
- Chumphon's Post Office is on Phoraminmakkha near the government offices
- There are several banks on Saladaeng and Pracha Uthit just south of the intersection.
- Chumphon Park - at the eastern end of Kromluang Chumphon Rd.
- Chumphon Sports Stadium - just south of the park

- Wat Subannimit - south of the river, across a motorcycle-only bridge
- Wat Phothikaraam - past Mor Lek hospital on the left as you follow highway 4001 out of Chumphon
- Cinema - On a soi leading off the Saladaeng Rd. - Thawisinkha/Pracha U-Thit Rd. junction. Easily visble from the junction with it's hand-painted movie posters.
- Clock Tower - at the junction of highway 327 and Phoraminmakkha Rd.
- Law Courts and City Hall - on Phoraminmakkha Rd.
