How To Get There
Location: Lang Suan district, tha maphrao sub district, about 4 km from lang suan district.
Directions: Take highway 41 and turn right at the intersection to the asphalt road of 2.8 km . the direction on the lift will lead to pak num lang suan and lang suan district.
This is one of the miscellaneous attractions of Chumphon province.
it is a small garden located close to lang suan river. in front of the garden is the statue of the princess mother sitting on the chair rested on the hillock. behind the garden is khao ngoen with the cave above having the large hall with the hole at the roof. in front is the inscription of the cave is adjacent to lang suan river, the part of khao ngoen cave . the entrance has the triangle shape while inside looks like a pavilion shaped tent housing the principal buddha image and other images.
tham khao ngoen was discovered in the old days. the pagoda in front was built in the reign of king rama v during his royal visit to lang suan town. his name and the year of visit were also in scribed on the wall of the cave. another cave located near this area is khang khao cave which is the habitat of the bats with a large hall looking like the turtle's shell at the front.
the garden is very shady and good for relaxation due to the area close to the gardens of mangosteen and durian. a wide parking area is provided but public toilet is not available.
