Transport To/From Chumphon
Bus
Chumphon's main bus terminal is about 12km out of town.
The old town centre bus terminal (next to where Easy Divers now stands) has long been closed.
However, the Bangkok-Ranong bus and several private bus and minivan services run from Chumphon town centre.
Train
The train station is in the centre of Chumphon, within 10 minutes walking distance of many guest houses and hotels.
Boat
Boats to Koh Tao, Koh Phangan and Koh Samui leave from three locations near Chumphon: Ao Thung Makham Noi (Lomprayah); Pak Nam Chumphon (Seatran); and the Tha Yang Pier (all others).
Plane
There are NO commercial flights to/from Chumphon airport
Yes, Chumphon does have a provincial airport (close to Pha Thiew town, around 40km north of Chumphon), but it is currently only used for private planes.
